Ripping optimisation
Quality Evaluator (QE) is a graphic pyGTK tool witch help you to
determine the best resolution for a movie ripping.
QE is free software, you can redistribute it and/or modify
it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by
the Free Software Foundation; either version 2, or (at your option)
any later version. See the FSF site for
more details.

Download the latest version of Quality Evaluator source (1.0rc3) :

Download the latest RPM of Quality Evaluator (0.99) : Quality-Evaluator-0.99-1.noarch.rpm
On all RPM distribution, you can try this RPM (tested on Mandrake LE2005). Very easy to install :
$> su (+ root pass) #> rpm -i ./Quality-Evaluator-X.Y-Z.noarch.rpm - or - #> urpmi ./Quality-Evaluator-X.Y-Z.noarch.rpm
Before you have to install python2 and pygtk2.
This is the easy installation procedure :
$> tar xvzf Quality-Evaluator-X.Y.tar.gz $> cd Quality-Evaluator-X.Y $> su (+ root pass) #> make install
It's all. You can try and tape "quality-evaluator".
Don't destroy the QE directory : with a "make
uninstall", QE will be removed from your computer.
Is-it possible ?
Python and pyGTK are ported on Window$(tm) but nobody i know succeed
to run Quality Evaluator on it !
